“A shiny Heavy wrecker looks great in the lot, but don’t dispatch it for a sedan with a flat tire unless you have no choice. Keep your specialists parked for the jobs only they can touch. When a commercial box truck snaps an axle on the tollway, you’ll be glad Unit 3 is sitting ready.”

The Light: small but mighty

Quick and nimble. A good match for flat tires and ordinary broken-down cars. Keep it busy with jobs that do not need your more specialized rigs.

The Flatbed: handle with care

Carries damaged cars and brand-new ones. Buying your first Flatbed opens up accident calls and dealer deliveries that a Light cannot handle.

The Heavy: bring the muscle

Moves vans and box trucks. Look at the job’s requirement: a breakdown or accident involving a larger vehicle may require a Heavy even when its ordinary car version does not.

Upgrade what you own

Open GARAGE, select a truck, and use its upgrade action. Truck levels run from 1 to 10. Upgrades improve driving speed and shorten work time.

The Service Bay controls the highest truck level available:

Upgrading a Light does not turn it into a Flatbed. Capabilities belong to the truck class.

“Before you blow $18,000 on a second rig, upgrade the truck you have to Level 3 or 4. A tuned engine cuts cross-town response times nearly in half. One fast truck can often do the work of two slow ones.”

Make room first

Your starter Parking Lot holds two trucks. Upgrade it for a fleet of three, then five, and eventually eight. Both the company-level requirement and purchase price must be met before buying a rig.
