Traffic & weather
The city does not have the same workload all day. Simulated traffic and weather change how often calls appear, how long work takes, and what jobs pay.
These are in-game conditions, not a live forecast for your real location.
Plan around rush hour
Section titled “Plan around rush hour”The in-game day starts at 6:00 AM.
| Period | In-game time | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Morning rush | 7:00–9:30 AM | More calls and slower major roads |
| Evening rush | 4:00–6:30 PM | More breakdowns and accidents; busy expressways |
| Night | 9:00 PM–5:00 AM | Fewer calls and lighter major-road traffic |
You do not need to play at those real-world hours. The simulation clock advances at the speed you choose.
When the weather turns
Section titled “When the weather turns”| Condition | Road speed | Time working on scene | Payout multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clear | Normal | Normal | 1× |
| Rain | 90% of normal | 1.15× | 1.1× |
| Snow | 75% of normal | 1.3× | 1.3× |
Rain and snow also increase call frequency and the relative chance of accidents. Weather changes over the simulated day. The tutorial stays clear while you complete your first job.
Check the time-and-weather chip on the map to see what’s happening now. Tap it for City Pulse, which names the current weather and what it does to your shift.
Keep a little capacity in reserve
Section titled “Keep a little capacity in reserve”A higher payout is only part of the picture. Slow travel and longer work tie up your fleet. During a busy shift, compare ETAs, put specialists on the jobs that need them, and make use of returning trucks.
Use pause when you need a moment to consider the next dispatch. A higher game speed makes the entire simulation move faster, including offer deadlines.
Next: Plan your next dispatch.
